Founding Routed Director Malcom Siegel passed away on 14 October 2020. Losing Malcom was a devastating loss to everyone. He was a giant of a Man, touching so many communities. His passing has left a void in so many lives: he was much loved.
Malcolm was firstly our friend – although many could say that, he was everyone’s friend! He was also our business partner and colleague. Malcolm was memorable and made an impact on everyone who met him.
Malcolm understood the value of community and the importance of sharing knowledge. He defined the neutral community and wanted everyone to be stronger as an industry. He was selfless, determined and committed.
His faith was of great importance to Malcolm, and he was dedicated to the local Jewish community in Sea Point. He was also an expert bridge player. But above all, Malcolm was a committed family man: a loving husband and an involved and doting father.
We are forever grateful to Malcolm for all he did for Routed, and we aspire always to live up to his memory.
