Routed proudly retains B-BBEE Level 5 Status

It is with great pride that we announce we have maintained our Level B-BBEE Level 5 status in 2023. This follows our achievement of this noteworthy milestone last year.

Routed has stayed steadfast on the path of progress. Our journey from micro-enterprise to being recognised as one of Africa’s 100 fastest growing companies was made possible by scaling new heights year after year. It is not just about the accolade of achieving and maintaining Level 5 status. It is symbolic of the fact that we have remained dedicated to integrating operational excellence with our transformation objectives.

Our strategy to empower through education is something we’re especially proud of. Routed has now sponsored 15 learnership programmes for previously disadvantaged disabled learners since 2020. This commitment, valued at approximately R400,000, is a testament to our belief in nurturing talent and providing equal opportunities for all. With six learners currently on Business Administration learnership programmes, we are not just investing in individuals but shaping the future of the industry.

Our social economic development initiatives have been hugely successful in collaboration with Heathfield Primary School in the Western Cape. Since 2020, our partnership has seen an infusion of R170,000 to transform their IT infrastructure, helping secure upgraded computer lab rooms and the creation of a new IT lab. This initiative is close to our hearts, as it aligns with our vision of enhancing education through technology.

Our Enterprise and Supplier Development initiatives, such as the interest-free loans through Propella Enterprise Development and support to Ambit Connect, also underscore our commitment to uplift and empower individuals in South Africa.

With an eye towards the future, Routed will continue our long-standing relationship with Heathfield Primary School while channelling our efforts towards IT-centred learnerships to help address the technical skills gap within South Africa.

We’re delighted to have made substantial investments in these critical areas and are excited to keep this momentum going forward.
